You have our full attention.
As a small studio, we offer dedication, focus, and a direct collaboration that larger agencies can’t match.
At Oh Hi Tomorrow, you get talented, experienced designers — and you gain close partners who invest in the future success of your product.
We often work in secret on confidential projects. Global companies and innovative startups trust us to create designs that don’t just meet needs — they define new opportunities and create something extraordinary.
Based in London, we're surrounded by a vibrant community of thinkers, engineers, craftspeople, and artists. This environment and our cultural backgrounds in France and the UK shape a joint perspective on design — a balance of original, creative thinking, deep critical and philosophical inquiry, and a unique combination of personalities!
Guillaume
Studio founder and Design Director.
Guillaume brings a diverse set of design skills to the table, having studied applied mechanics in France, engineering at Imperial College London, and design at the Royal College of Art. With experience founding design-led start-ups and award-winning agencies, his work has been featured by Time, BBC, Wired, Dezeen, and Fast Company.
Richard
Studio founder and Design Director.
Richard has 30+ years of experience in product design and strategy. Having studied software at Imperial College London, he combined creative and engineering skills to develop the visual effects technology behind Hollywood blockbusters. He is an early-stage investor and advisor to multiple successful design and creative business founders.
Awards are nice; sharing ideas is great.
The studio holds many awards, including Lexus, Core77, iF, and Red Dot.
By teaching in leading schools like the Royal College of Art, Imperial College London, and Lund University, we share our experiences. They use our book Interface Design: Creating Interactions That Drive Successful Product Adoption, a unique conceptual approach to discussing and designing user interactions. We hope it challenges everyone to create innovative and engaging future products.
How we do, what we do.
Every project is unique. As a small, agile studio, we rely on intuition and experience over rigid processes. Ideas are fragile — they require space and careful nurturing to really make a difference.
Our own frameworks combine creativity with structured thinking.
Over the years, we've developed many frameworks that help us deliver creative design work with strategic value. A product's success often depends on how it interacts with the world around it. One example — our Synergies framework — helps us map past, present, and future interactions to ensure we anticipate key opportunities and emerging trends.
Design as the story; we craft meaningful narratives.
Design isn’t just about looks and functionality; it’s about the story a product tells. We use our Design Story Arc framework to ensure that every product has a narrative that resonates with users. Considering user motivations and psychology, we ask critical questions to ensure the rationale behind every design choice is clear and compelling.
Bringing ideas to life: prototyping and filmmaking.
Bringing the best ideas to life requires precision, care and communication. Our advanced prototyping and design filmmaking skills set us apart. We know how to build models, code simulations, write film scripts, direct, and edit. Managing the entire production pipeline in-house without relying on external partners is essential for our highly confidential projects.
And, of course — all of the expected design skills and tools.
We love pens and paper for sketching and computers for modelling, colour, finish, and perfect visualisation. We also use 3D printers, hand tools, and real photography to create hands-on experiences and attractive presentations. We like to think we bring great ideas to the table, which is usually why clients return to us. We may use a few Post-it® notes. Maybe it's that!
Guess who we design for?
Most of our work is done secretly for secret clients who trust us to keep their projects confidential. So, here are outlines of some work, without saying anything we shouldn't.
A world-leading technology company renowned for design excellence in consumer electronics, software, and services.
Going in, we were presented with a broad outline of platform products planned to launch over the next decade.
What We Did.
Anticipated real-world applications — explored how users would interact with cutting-edge technology beyond the initial novelty. Our insights helped refine the hardware and better align product designs with the evolving needs of consumers and third-party developers.
Designed companion products — designed complementary products that maximised the potential of the hardware, adding value and refining the overall user experience. This uncovered overlooked aspects of the core technology, enhancing its long-term viability.
Imagined future interactions — visualised how emerging technologies could seamlessly integrate into a connected ecosystem, ensuring compatibility with existing and future innovations. This forward-thinking approach safeguarded the product's relevance.
How We Delivered.
Directed design concept films — illustrated how the technology would integrate into everyday life, serving as a tool to provoke internal discussions and guide key design choices.
Built working prototypes — explored critical design challenges in hardware and software. This hands-on approach sparked productive collaboration with in-house teams, helping shape future directions.
Our Impact.
A short-term project evolved into a four-year partnership, influencing everything from product design to strategic foresight. Our work sparked deeper exploration into often-overlooked aspects of interaction design, led to multiple patent filings, and strengthened the client’s position as a successful innovator.
A leading European consumer product company known for the rapid success of its flagship productivity device.
Going in, we were presented with a new technology prototype that could significantly impact future product development.
What We Did.
Provided critical evaluation and strategic insight — critically assessed new concepts and technology applications, challenged assumptions and identified areas for improvement. This created a foundation for strategic decision-making and informed future concept iterations.
Defined counterproposals — developed visionary counterproposals, ranging from high-level concepts to specific design ideas, challenging internal beliefs. This helped position product ideas in a competitive landscape, offering multiple new pathways.
Imagined future scenarios — explored a series of future scenarios based on extensive research into emerging technology trends. These provided context to anticipate consumer behaviours, guiding the design phase with a deeper understanding of user opportunities and expectations.
How We Delivered.
Three evaluation pillars — we structured our evaluation to complete a comprehensive analysis of Vision, Technology and Design.
Product story — we applied storytelling techniques to the product narrative, questioning user motivations and exploring product choices. We developed six distinct design directions and fully realised two designs as high-quality sales pitches.
Our Impact.
Our collaboration provided a critical external perspective which prompted a reassessment of core assumptions across leadership and the internal design teams. Thanks to our close partnership, we were invited to collaborate again on another project, this time much earlier in the development process.
Our own projects.
We often work on our own internal projects to share ideas and learn by designing. InSight is one example: a camera for spatial computing and mixed reality that won the prestigious Red Dot Design Concept: Best of the Best Award.
Harnessing the power of spatial computing and mixed reality, InSight is a fully working prototype camera that eliminates the need for a traditional viewfinder and screen. It offers photographers an entirely new and immersive way to frame and capture images.
